Terms of Service

Important — please read before using AT Companion. AT Companion is an informational tool only. It does not perform professional vehicle checks. Nothing produced by AT Companion should be relied upon as the sole basis for any purchasing decision. You use this service entirely at your own risk.

1. Who We Are

AT Companion is operated by Kishawi Kearney ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using AT Companion, you agree to these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

AT Companion is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to AutoTrader Group plc in any way.

2. What AT Companion Is — and Is Not

AT Companion is a browser extension that analyses publicly available information shown on AutoTrader UK listings and presents it in a summarised format. It uses automated AI analysis to highlight signals such as service history mentions, MOT information, and keywords in listing descriptions.

AT Companion is not:

All analysis produced by AT Companion is generated automatically by AI and is based solely on the text and data visible on AutoTrader listing pages at the time of analysis. It may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date.

3. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AT Companion, its operators, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

This includes, without limitation:

— Any financial loss, including the purchase price of a vehicle, repair costs, depreciation, or any other costs incurred as a result of purchasing, not purchasing, or making decisions about any vehicle based on information provided by AT Companion.

— Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

— Any loss arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading analysis produced by AT Companion, whether caused by errors in the underlying data, AI model limitations, or any other reason.

— Any loss arising from reliance on reliability estimates, known issues, repair cost estimates, price comparisons, or any other AI-generated content produced by the service.

— Any loss resulting from the service being unavailable, interrupted, or discontinued at any time and for any reason.

You acknowledge and agree that AT Companion is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to AT Companion in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or £10.00, whichever is greater. For free-tier users, our total liability shall not exceed £1.00.

You are solely responsible for conducting your own due diligence before purchasing any vehicle. We strongly recommend obtaining an independent vehicle inspection, a certified HPI check, and reviewing the vehicle's full documented service history before committing to any purchase.

4. Accuracy of Analysis

AT Companion's analysis is generated automatically using AI and is based on text extracted from AutoTrader listing pages. We make no representations or warranties that this analysis is accurate, complete, current, or reliable.

Listing information on AutoTrader is provided by sellers, not by AT Companion. We have no control over the accuracy of seller-provided information and are not responsible for errors or omissions in that information.

AI-generated reliability estimates, known issues, and repair cost predictions are indicative only and based on general model data. They do not reflect the specific condition of any individual vehicle.

5. Subscription and Billing

AT Companion offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription at £4.99 per month. By subscribing to Pro, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

6. Free Tier Usage

Free tier users are entitled to a limited number of AI analyses per day, as displayed within the extension. This limit is subject to change at any time. We reserve the right to modify, restrict, or discontinue free tier access at any time without notice or liability.

You agree not to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these terms.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time, with or without cause. In the event of termination for cause (e.g. breach of these terms), no refund will be issued. In the event of termination without cause, we will provide a pro-rata refund for any unused portion of a paid billing period.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@kishawikearney.com.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding associated with AT Companion is owned by or licensed to Kishawi Kearney. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the service without our express written permission.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of AT Companion following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes via the website or extension.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
